The same old lullaby

We've been back to my parent's home for days. Noticed how happy my parent has been. The smile & laughter that this baby brought/brings is uncountable.

My dad used to sing me a lullaby. It's definitely not an award-winning or trophy-worthy lullaby. It even sounds a bit offbeat and weird. But it's one of the fondest memory of my life. And yesterday I heard him altering it a bit, from my name to my daughters' when he tried to make her sleep. I hope that my girl knows, how much her grandparent loves her. And not to forget their love forever and ever.

RIP my beloved grandma

I was suddenly strike by the thought that I'm not going to see my (maternal) grandma again.
And a sense of sadness consume me.
She's the loveliest grandma of all. And we loves her cooking so so much.
I didn't realize that she had become so thin and fragile over the past one year. It seems quite a lot has happened during my almost one and a half year absence from home.
My dearest 外婆, thank you for all the love and kindness you have shown us in the past.
Your warmth will forever be remembered.
I miss you dearly.

Forever yours,
Jing
